RIDGEBACK GLOBAL INFRASTRUCTURE
The story behind the name

Meet Augie.

A Rhodesian Ridgeback, a loyal companion, and the inspiration behind Ridgeback Global Infrastructure.

Where the story began — Jodie

Jodie, a German Shorthaired Pointer, joined the family in January 2020. In 2022, while working as an Executive Engineer in Capital Projects for Fingal County Council in Ireland, our founder wanted her to have company during the working day.

A lifelong interest in Rhodesian Ridgebacks—strengthened by seeing the breed in South Africa in 2018—led to a visit to a breeder near Cashel. Among approximately twelve puppies, one stepped away from the group and followed Jodie and her owner. That puppy was Augie.

Growing up in Ireland

Augie spent his first year exploring the green fields and hills of Ireland alongside Jodie. The early family story also includes two cats, brothers Morris and Everest. Morris appears in a treasured photograph with Jodie; no photograph of Everest is currently available.

In 2023, Augie and Jodie crossed the Atlantic to begin a new chapter in the United States.

Chief of security, morale & occasional naps

Augie is loyal, protective, and rarely far from his founder’s side. As Ridgeback grows, he is intended to have a presence in the office—although his preferred working arrangement may involve a comfortable bed and frequent naps.

From Ireland to Washington, D.C.

From the green countryside of Ireland to the Washington Monument, Augie’s journey reflects the personal story behind the company name.

Loyalty. Vigilance. Determination.
